Last but not least, “Il Pimpinnacolo”, also known as “La Fattoria” (The Farm), is the main group of buildings that actually name the very road we are on and our whole enterprise. Our lodgings in it either face the valley, with beautiful views of the fortresses and the Cala Galera harbor, or face the mounts, the courtyards and the surrounding woods. La Fattoria sits higher up in the property, it benefits from beautiful summer breezes and is set at the starting point of many of the trails that run through our property, all the way up to the top of Monte Argentario.
The origin of our farming buildings dates back to the beginning of the 20th century. Historically, these estates have been used for the masterly management of land and agricultural production. To date, as far as we know, we are proud to be the only farming enterprise of Monte Argentario that produces IGP – Extra Virgin Olive Oil. In the mid 1990’s, a total renovation and restauration process improved and modernized the old farmers’ quarters and working spaces. Since then, we work hard, year after year, to advance and upgrade our assets for the optimum communion between agriculture and hospitality. Essentially, our estate is composed of three groups of refurbished farm dwellings set on the edges of a large olive grove. Most of our olive trees are majestic centennial plants. “Il Frantoio”, or Olive Mill, sits on the lower part of the grove. It is an exclusive hamlet surrounded by its own enclosure of trees and stone walls. An ideal setting for privacy and relaxing silence. “Le Maggesi”, is positioned at the entrance of the property and the olive grove. It is composed of two main buildings surrounded by enclosed gardens for the exclusive use of our guests. Benefiting from vast views of Monte Argentario and the surrounding groves and woods, these lodgings are gems of comfort, natural beauty, and ease of access.
